Welcome to our school blog, here you will find a snapshot of events taking place at Legh Vale on a weekly basis from Nursery to Y6.

Week Commencing: 25th September 2017

RCM enjoyed sharing stories together in our 'Book Corner Castle'. 

RBT enjoyed learning to put numbers in order.

Y4F thoroughly enjoyed acting out their favourite scene from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Nursery children have been weeding and planting in the Nursery garden.

To celebrate European Day of Languages, Y5H participated in French Zumba.

Y1/2 Have been creating seasonal tree pictures.

Using 5 and 6 digit numbers,Y5M have been solving word problems and then setting new challenges for their partners.

Y2 Have been designing and making healthy sandwiches.

Y6H spent the afternoon creating origami lotus flowers.

Y6M have enjoyed learning more about the Buddist Faith from our very own practising Buddist.

Y1JL had fun in PE this week. They enjoyed learning some new dance moves in French to celebrate the European Day of Language.

Y1RB enjoyed an Autumn walk around the school grounds.

RCG have enjoyed learning and recognising numbers and colours in maths.

Week Commencing: 18th September 2017

6H have been learning about the Buddhist faith and related symbolism. The lotus flower represents purity and we used chalk pastels to create some outstanding artwork.

RCM have enjoyed painting a self portrait of their faces this week. We have some great future artists!

Red group have enjoyed learning about being unique during their lessons this week. Then they wrote all about themselves in their Literacy lessons.

Y3W have had fun in maths making place value top trumps cards and playing against their friends.

Y1JL have made human sentences about the book 'Good Little Wolf' by Nadia Shireen. They unscrambled themselves to show that a sentence must make sense.

Y3F have enjoyed their PE lesson using the outside space.

Y5M have been exploring the journey of Earth in Space.

Y5S have been learning their 7 times tables.

Y4F have enjoyed representing 2-3 digit numbers in a variety of ways.

Y1/2 Were excited to meet their new class pet Jerry the giraffe.

Y2 Investigated which was the best way to remove germs from their hands.

Week Commencing: 11th September 2017

Nursery children have been enjoying making planets as part of our topic on Space.

Green Group have really enjoyed their first full week in Reception. They have settled so well and love all the activities in their new classroom.

Y6M have had a brilliant first week back in school creating items for our Year 6 Recipe.

Red group have had a wonderful first week in Reception! They have settled in well and made lots of new friends! Here they are sharing stories.

Year 4 have enjoyed investigating how many different combinations they can make using a 4 digit number.

What would a superhero say? Y1/2 have been sharing their ideas.

In History, Y5H have been looking at toys from the past fifty years and arranging them in chronological order.

Y6H enjoyed practising their ball handling skills during their PE lesson.

Y1RB have really enjoyed our superhero theme. They have had fun designing comics and labelling a superheroes costume. 

In Y4D we have been choosing books that we enjoy reading.

This week in Y1JL we have been learning about the weather. We know that it is Autumn and we must wear our coats to keep warm! We are looking forward to seeing the changes in the leaves over the next few weeks. 

Y2SC Have enjoyed making puppets and are proud of their work.
